How to Use a Hydrogen-Oxygen Machine
When using a hydrogen-oxygen machine, follow these steps to ensure correct and safe operation:
- Water Refilling:
- Open the water tank lid and fill it with bottled purified water.
- Observe the water level indicator and stop filling when it reaches the marked line.
- If using a water pump for refilling, connect the power supply, attach the tubing to the water inlet and the purified water source, and press the water intake switch for automatic filling.
- Ensure the water tank's vent hole is unobstructed before refilling; it is usually located on the tank lid.
- Connecting Ventilation Tubes:
- Connect the hydrogen tube, which directs hydrogen from the machine into the humidifier bottle and then to the nasal cannula.
- A small amount of water can be added to the humidifier bottle (if applicable); built-in humidifier bottles cannot be disassembled or refilled.
- High-flow hydrogen-oxygen machines may require a tee connector to mix hydrogen and oxygen.
- Power Connection and Startup:
- Plug in the power cord and turn on the power switch.
- Observe whether bubbles are forming normally in the humidifier bottle.
- Adjusting Timer and Starting Hydrogen Production:
- Set the timer as needed.
- Press the "Start" button to begin hydrogen production; the display screen will show the hydrogen flow rate and timer.
- Precautions During Use:
- Keep the main unit away from fire sources and place it in a well-ventilated area.
- Never block the air outlet to avoid machine malfunction.
- For initial use, recommend hydrogen inhalation not exceeding 30 minutes, gradually increasing time based on individual conditions.
- Unplug the power cord and tidy up accessories after use.
- Maintenance and Care:
- Clean the humidifier bottle regularly; it is recommended to clean it after each use and disinfect it at least once a week.
- If the machine is not used for more than 7 days, drain the remaining water in the tank and refill with fresh purified water.
- If the machine is used continuously for more than 7 days, perform a water drain and refill with fresh purified water.

How to Choose a Hydrogen-Oxygen Machine
When selecting a hydrogen-oxygen machine, consider the following factors to make an informed decision:
- Medical Certification:
- Ensure the hydrogen-oxygen machine has national Class III medical device certification, which is a requirement for medical practices.
- Hydrogen Production Principle:
- Understand the hydrogen production principle of the hydrogen-oxygen machine, mainly proton exchange membrane (PEM) and water electrolysis methods. PEM technology has a lower technical threshold but higher maintenance costs, while water electrolysis is costlier but offers simpler maintenance and stable use.
- Flow Rate:
- Choose a hydrogen-oxygen machine with a high flow rate, at least 1500ml/min, to achieve therapeutic effects or maintain health.
- Safety:
- Ensure the hydrogen-oxygen machine uses safe, non-toxic materials and has undergone clinical trials.
- Check for explosion-proof design, overvoltage protection, leakage protection, and other safety features.
- Brand and Reputation:
- Select brands with high visibility and positive user reviews.
- Reference hydrogen-oxygen machine brand rankings, product sales, and patent awards in the market.
- Price and Cost:
- Consider the purchase price of the machine and long-term use and maintenance costs.
- Some brands may have a higher initial investment but lower maintenance costs and a longer lifespan.
- Technology and Innovation:
- Understand whether the hydrogen-oxygen machine uses the latest technology and whether it has continuous technological innovation and research and development capabilities.
- Service and Support:
- Good after-sales service and customer support are also factors to consider when selecting a hydrogen-oxygen machine.
- Personal Experience and Professional Advice:
- If possible, try the machine personally or review feedback from other users.
- Consult medical professionals or experts in related fields for more specialized purchasing advice.
By comprehensively considering these factors, you can select a hydrogen-oxygen machine that suits your needs. Additionally, check the gas composition test report issued by the manufacturer as a basis for judgment.
